Compassionate Inquiry
Dr. Gabor Maté
A psychotherapeutic approach that reveals what lies beneath the appearance we present to the world.
Compassionate Inquiry is a psychotherapeutic method developed by Dr. Gabor Maté that reveals what lies beneath the appearance we present to the world. Using Compassionate Inquiry, the therapist unveils the level of consciousness, mental climate, hidden assumptions, implicit memories and body states that form the real message that words both express and conceal.
Emerson wrote, "Who you are speaks so loudly, I can’t hear what you’re saying.” Before you even say hello, people either sense your distraction, disappointment and distress or your confidence, clarity and calm. In other words, they feel and respond to your mental, physical and emotional state of being regardless of what you have to say. This lively presentation explores the characteristics of embodied leadership and how to intentionally choose your optimal state moment by moment and on demand.
How to Lead a Fulfilling Life by Eradicating Stress
Dr. Srikumar Rao
More people report more stress in their life than ever before. There will always be unforeseen events like pandemics, political turmoil, civil unrest and economic distress. These, cumulatively, add to our sense of not being in control. We become fearful and anxious and wracked with worry. It is indeed possible, even in times like these, to function at a high level with little stress and great joy. Learn about techniques, exercises and concepts that will help you remain serene even as you move toward more success than you ever dreamed possible.
On this panel, we will be talking about emotional literacy, the issue of not having a safe space for men, the burden of responsibility in men and young boys, and more. As well as what each panelist is doing and offering.
